About the Handling of Personal Information

Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Kyoto Industrial Support Organization 21 (hereinafter referred to as “the Foundation”) will not only comply with laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information and other norms, but also establish the following policies and strive to protect and properly handle personal information.
1.Acquisition of personal information
(1)The Foundation will acquire personal information by legal and fair means.
(2)The Foundation will acquire personal information by clarifying the purpose of use.
2.Use of personal information
(1)In principle, the Foundation will use personal information within the scope of the purpose of use at the time of acquisition.
(2)Personal information may be shared with related organizations within the scope of the purpose of use at the time of acquisition.
3.Provision of personal information for third parties
The Foundation will not disclose or provide personal information to any third parties unless
the user has given consent, a request for disclosure based on laws and regulations has been made, or there are other special reasons.

The purposes of use of personal information handled by the Foundation are as follows.
When collecting personal information for purposes other than these, the Foundation will clarify the purpose of use in advance.
(1)To provide information on training and events, guide various businesses and services, and confirm application details
(2)To request various investigations and confirm the contents
(3)To conduct a questionnaire survey to improve and enhance various businesses and services
(4)To respond to various consultations and inquiries.
5.Joint use of personal information
When personal information of 2 (2) above is shared with related organizations, the scope of
joint users, and the items, purpose and management of joint use are as follows.
(1)Items of joint use
Name of business establishment, name of the representative or personnel (in the case
of participants or users of the business, their names), job title, location, telephone
number, fax number, and email address
(2)Scope of joint users
Related organizations where the Foundation keeps the secretariat of the organization
Government agencies, universities and related organizations where the Foundation
jointly conducts the business
(3)Purpose of joint use
Any of the “purposes of use of personal information” of 2 (2) above, which is judged
to require joint use
(4)Management of joint use
The Foundation’s handling policy regarding the protection of personal information
shall apply mutatis mutandis.
6.Management of personal information
Regarding personal information handled within the Foundation, the Foundation will stipulate the handling method of such information, the person in charge of management, etc., and in order to prevent unauthorized access to and leakage of personal information, take safety management measures such as maintenance of organizational structure,
promotion of education for staff, and necessary supervision when outsourcing work related to handling of personal information to a third party.
7.Disclosure of personal information, etc.
The Foundation will respond appropriately to any request from a user for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc. of his/her personal information.
